Dolling Up At MOTIF Seattle

Is it Monday again already? Over the weekend, I had some downtime to take a breather, and I reflected back to a couple of weekends ago when I took a quick trip up to Seattle! I had the pleasure of staying at Motif Seattle, an upscale boutique hotel nestled in the heart of downtown Seattle, and it was the perfect temporary home-base for that short visit. Whether I was waking up in the morning with the complimentary coffee and paper, dolling up for some evening cocktails at Frolik Kitchen + Cocktails on the fifth floor with this Sandro lace dress and Sole Society heels, or unwinding after a long day with a nice long bath, I was happily provided for by the luxury and comfort that Motif extended.

Inspired by the area’s rich fashion scene, Motif is located on Fifth Avenue between Pike and Union and within convenient walking distance to many of the city’s attractions including Pike Place Market, the Space Needle, Experience Music Project (EMP), Chihuly Glass Museum, Seattle Art Museum, Seattle Aquarium, and the Historic Seattle Waterfront. It’s also conveniently close to a light rail station, offering easy transportation to and from the Seattle-Tacoma Airport. During my stay downtown, I walked everywhere that I needed to go – it was such a refreshing change not having to worry about finding parking or hailing an Uber!

Overall, Motif exudes a welcoming modern ambiance – if you look closely, however, you can still notice certain features from its pre-remodeled days, but it doesn’t cast much of a shadow, especially if you consider the great price you’re paying to stay at a hotel located in a prime downtown location. The guestrooms and suites offer sweeping views of downtown Seattle (some offer bay or mountain views), and the wide availability of amenities and plush beds provide a comfortable stay whether you’re there for business or pleasure. Additionally, its urban contemporary in-house restaurant, Frolik Kitchen + Cocktails, features the largest outdoor deck in downtown Seattle. It’s truly a fabulous place to hang out and while away some time with friends or with a date – During the day, you can play ping-pong and floor games on the patio, and at night, you can socialize by the roaring fire pits and marvel at the city lights below and around.

It was only a short stay, but from what I saw, Motif highly values customer service, and everyone there strives to make sure you experience the best stay possible. If you’re looking for a fair-priced posh hotel in downtown Seattle that blends the city’s into a fashionable, look no further.
