Photo Journal: Oregon Wandering

Oregon travel

You know that feeling you get when you stumble upon a new place that’s the complete opposite of what you’ve been used to for so long? From dirty asphalt and towering concrete walls to open fields and roaring waterfalls, I emerged out of the urban scene I had encased myself within for the past few months and took a deep breath of that crisp and clear Oregon air. And suddenly, I remembered what it felt like to breathe, to really breathe.

My love for Oregon stems from something so pure and magical. Within the short few days of immersing myself in ethereal natural beauty and laughing away with old but never forgotten friends, I found myself unexpectedly reconnecting with the very core of my being all while unraveling away my troubles and releasing them into the gentle mountain winds and cool rushing streams… even if it was just for the time being. To be able to connect with something so real, something so untouched, and something so wild – that is a gift we often overlook.
