Girl in San Francisco, Part 1

Happy first of May! And is it Thursday already? Sorry for the week-long hiatus!

If you follow my Instagram, you will have noticed that I was in San Francisco this past weekend…celebrating my birthday! But on our flight back home, we were onboard with a baby who had the stomach flu, and as luck would have it, we BOTH contracted the virus and spent a miserable day and a half in bed. And it certainly did not (and still does not) help that Southern California is currently having a ridiculous heat wave. I’ve found that sliding a pack of ice under my pillowcase really helps, so I’ve been doing that nonstop when I’m confined to the bed. Thank goodness that today I’m feeling well enough to sit up and work out this blog post (even though my arms are getting sweaty just resting on the desk! Ew, I know).

This heat wave just makes me miss San Francisco’s cool weather. I had brought my Mango trench coat along, just in case, but I was perfectly toasty walking around with this faux leather jacket and a scarf, so that pairing (along with opaque tights) became my essentials for the trip. The photos you see here was from our first day in the city when we hit up Union Square.
