Giving Back With Ann Taylor

So it’s the middle of October and yet it still feels infuriatingly like summer. Welcome to Southern California, where the change of seasons apparently do not exist!

Recently, I realized that I’ve yet to mention something very important that’s related to October. If you’ve recently seen an extraordinarily copious amount of pink around town and are not yet aware of why, it’s because October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (read this if you’re curious about the history of the pink ribbon). As seen here, I kicked off October with neutral light hues coupled with dashes of pink in the form of this Ann Taylor Rosette Skirt that complemented the interior matte rose color of my Mansur Gavriel mini-bucket bag.

And speaking of Ann Taylor…

To promote awareness and charitable initiative for breast cancer, Ann Taylor has designed a beautiful limited edition jewelry collection that speaks to a woman’s greatest beauty: her strength. With emblems tied to powerful symbols, this charm bracelet and pendant each tell a story of love, hope, and endurance.

Of the two pieces, the beautiful pendant speaks most deeply and personally to me. With the feather, rose, and rose quartz crystal united on one dainty yet strong chain, the necklace reflects values of courage, enduring love, and dreams taking flight that come with healing. Regardless, both delicate pieces are beautiful ways to show that you care. Now through 12/31/2015, Ann Taylor will donate 50% of the purchase price of these two special items to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Wishing you all a happy Monday! As always, thank you so much for reading!
