LBV (Long Black Vest) and a Mansur

DSC01289_2

It’s old news by now that I’m obsessed with vests. These menswear-inspired pieces hold a lot of power in pulling together a tailored look, and they’re forever sleek, professional, and delightfully versatile. I’m particularly in love with the longline vest: The longer hemline allows it to easily be converted into a dress, and in classic black, it not only adds structure to a look but also easily readies you for your Monday work day. It’s one of those versatile closet staples you can wear every single day of the week and not look blatantly repetitive!

By the way, I keep getting asked about my Mansur Gavriel mini bucket bag and how I managed to get one, considering that it’s a fashion unicorn as it’s always sold out via mansurgavriel.com and all other retailers such as Barneys and Net-a-Porter. Sometimes, you can pre-order on barneys.com, but the selections are limited and also go out of stock quickly. My advice is to wait for Mansur Gavriel’s shop relaunch (keep an eye out for the dates from the MG Twitter and Facebook pages). It usually starts at 11AM EST, and trust me when I say that all the good styles sell out completely within the first 3 to 4 minutes. Do your research prior to the relaunch – know exactly what you want, and when the relaunch day comes around, be on the site at 11AM EST on the dot (seriously, I cannot stress how important that is!) and just go. for. it. Lightning speed. Don’t even hesitate. The item will not be reserved for you until you reach the check-out page, where you will have 5 minutes to enter your payment information (and keep in mind that you can only add 1 item to your shopping cart).

Hope that information helps you in getting your little unicorn handbag! Thanks so much for reading – have a great Monday!
