Lately, I’ve been sticking to a uniform as I dash madly through my daily activities. I love that the crisp November – oops – December chill offers more creative opportunities for layering in cozy attire, but when I need to constantly be mobile on my legs yet comfortable at the same time all while dashing indoors and outdoors and indoors again, and outdoors again, it’s just so much less fussy in the mornings to stick to an all-black uniform, which lately has consisted of soft pants (OK, they’re essentially leggings, but they’re so cute and delightfully comfortable), some sort of relaxed top that won’t bunch frumpily underneath a jacket, and over-the-knee flat boots, which act as the magic touch in pulling an outfit together. Not only do they help keep the legs warm, but over-the-knee boots, even with a flat heel, also elongate the appearance of legs…which is something no one has ever complained about!
