Chilly Spring Days

FINALLY it’s officially spring! A year ago in California, I was bare-legged in a skirt and muscle tank. Present day in New York, I’m still in boots and sweaters. No complaints there though, since I’m still loving the crisp chill in the air!

Now that I’m back in student-mode again, I’ve been trying really hard to cut back on my shopping, so it’s now all about finding new ways to wear the existing pieces in my closet. It certainly helps that when I do shop, I tend to go for classic, versatile pieces that can easily keep up with the ever-changing trends. You already know I’m a huge fan of layering a vest underneath my outerwear. This little layering trick has kept me toasty all throughout the NYC winter days. And even now during this season-transitional period, the trick still works. By pairing a knitted vest over a basic white button-down shirt and layering a leather jacket over it all, you stay warm without losing your sense of personal style. Add a good pair of over-the-knee boots and you’ve got yourself a winning outfit.
